The Cranford WTC Committee and the Cranford Clergy Council will lead a memorial servic e marking the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks starting at 6:30. I t takes place in the park on the corner of Springfield and North Union ave nues.
\n\nThe Cranford Fall Cleanup takes place on 9/24\, 9AM to noon.
Participants can meet at the gazebo to pick up gloves\, trash bags\, and

This week when y ou go food shopping\, please consider picking up a few items for families in need. Join us at the next Drive-Thru Food Collection Saturday\, March 1 1\, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot of Cranford United Methodist Chu rch. Did you know that as of March 1st\, NJ families who receiv e government funds for food (aka food stamps/SNAP) are receiving less mone y because pandemic funds have expired? With the high cost of food biting i nto all our household budgets\, let’s keep up our efforts to help our neig hbors. Fresh produce and non-perishables are requested. Hope to see you on Saturday!
\nPlace your bags in your trunk\, drive up\, pop your tru nk and volunteers will remove them\, no contact needed! Your food donation s will be given to Cranford Family Care and St. Joseph’s Social Services. Please be sure that there is no expired food.

\n\nTake part in the town-wide clean-up of the Rahway River. Volunteers are welcome! The Township is providing garbage bags\, to ols\, and disposable gloves\, although volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools\, gloves\, and a reusable water bottle if they wish.
\nThe meetup and collection locations are:
\nVolunteers shou ld work in pairs and dress appropriately for walking alongside the wooded and muddy areas along the river. Volunteers should also not enter the rive r at any time while keeping a recommended distance of at least eight feet from the river’s edge. Children should be supervised by an adult at all ti mes.
