\n\n\nT he Union County Board of County Commissioners is proud to present “Concert in the Park\,” a free musical celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month feat uring the Hector Morales Salsa Band on Saturday\, October 16\, from 3:00 p .m. to 5:30 p.m. outdoors at Union County’s Warinanco Sports Center\, loca ted at 1 Park Drive in Warinanco Park\, in Roselle.
\nThe f irst 150 participants will receive a free food voucher for use at the conc ert.
\nThe free concert caps a month of Hispanic Heritage Month acti vities sponsored by the Commissioner Board\, including the raising of the County’s first-ever Hispanic Heritage flag at the County Courthouse in Eli zabeth\, a family movie night double feature at Plainfield High School in Plainfield\, a family fun day at Rahway River Park in Rahway\, and a count ywide virtual art exhibit.
\n“The Commissioner Board is proud to sup port Hispanic Heritage Month and encourage people from all walks of life t o unite in the enjoyment of cultural events\, in recognition of the leadin g role of the Hispanic community throughout Union County\,” said Commissio ner Board Chairman Alexander Mirabella.
\n“It is fitting to conclude our series of Hispanic Heritage Month in Union County with music\, the gr eat uniter of people all over the world\,” said Commissioner Sergio Granad os. “I am proud to be one of almost 200\,000 Hispanic residents that make Union County a wonderful place to live\, and I welcome this opportunity to share Hispanic culture throughout the community.”

021 Great Pumpkin Carve Out on Saturday\, October 23rd (Saturday\, October
30th rain date. For updates check www.jcas.org). All the activities will
take place at Hanson Park\, 38 Springfield Avenue in Cranford\, NJ. The pu
mpkin carving contest is a FREE event and is open
to all ages. Individuals can drop off their creatively carved pumpkins fro
m 10 am until 3 pm at Hanson Park at 38 Springfield Ave\, Cranford on Satu
rday\, October 23rd along with a completed registration form (also availab
le on-site).
\nEveryone is invited to come to Hanson Park starting at
6 pm-9 pm to stroll along the pumpkin-lighted garden paths to see the car
ved pumpkins on display\, each on its own pedestal. Cash awards will be gi
ven for funniest\, scariest\, and most original and will be grouped by age
s\; 4-8\, 9-16\, and 17 and up.
\nIn addition\, a big-screen outdoor
showing of a surprise favorite movie will start at dark. Bring your blanke
ts! The movie\, stroll\, and contest are all free\, and hot cider will be
available for purchase.

demand\, The Borough of Roselle Park will be hosting its second annual
\nMischief Night Concert & Program on Sunday\, October 30\, 2022. The co
ncert is free to attend
\nand will take place at Michael Mauri Gazebo
Park (16 E. Grant Avenue) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
\nThe concert’s head
liner will be The Empire Band\, a six-piece band assembled in the downtown
\nclubs of lower Manhattan. Deemed “New York’s Livest\,” The Empire
Band has a song bank of

shed musicians\, meaning no show is ever the
\nsame.
