\nFrom earliest times Christians have gathered on the eve of the Pascha l/Easter Season to recall the story of God’s saving work\,from creation th rough to the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Paschal Vigil marks the end of the emptiness of Lent and Holy Week\, and leads int o the celebration of Christ’s resurrection. The Vigil Liturgy contains fou r main parts: The lighting of the Paschal Candle\; hearing the great Hebre w stories of the faith\; the Liturgy of Initiation (Baptismed)\; and Holy Eucharist.
\n\nEASTER SUNRIS E SERVICE\, April 17 at 7 am: The Gospels say that Jesus’ empty tomb was d iscovered very early in the morning. Join us outside in the spring air as the sun rises\, celebrating the triumph of life over death and light over darkness. Bring a flower from your garden and flower the cross on the fron t lawn. Some will also be provided.

\nEaste r Sunday at Trinity is always a wonderful celebration\, don your Sunday be st and come and proclaim our risen\, conquering Lord! Father Andy will off er a children’s address on the Christian origins of Easter egg hunts after which the children will hunt the grounds for eggs. The choir anthem will be ‘Love’s Redeeming Work is Done’ and we will all have the opportunity to sing the ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ at the conclusion of the liturgy.
\n\n \nTRADITIONAL E ASTER SERVICE\, April 17 at 10 am: All are invited to Easter at First Pres byterian Church of Cranford! Children will help brighten the Sanctuary by carrying flowers forward and placing them on the Chancel (the front of the Sanctuary) during the first hymn. “Busy Bags” will be provided to keep li ttle ones busy while sitting with their parents in the sanctuary. This yea r\, traditions return and you are invited to come forward and join the cho ir to sing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” at the end of the service! This se rvice will also be live-streamed to Facebook and YouTube.
