ort from the Cranford Jaycees\, will host the 2021 Great Pumpkin Carve Out
on Saturday\, October 23rd (Saturday\, October 30th rain date. For update
s check www.jcas.org). All the activities will take place at Hanson Park\,
38 Springfield Avenue in Cranford\, NJ. The pumpkin carving contest is a
FREE event and is open to all ages. Individuals ca
n drop off their creatively carved pumpkins from 10 am until 3 pm at Hanso
n Park at 38 Springfield Ave\, Cranford on Saturday\, October 23rd along w
ith a completed registration form (also available on-site).
\nEveryon
e is invited to come to Hanson Park starting at 6 pm-9 pm to stroll along
the pumpkin-lighted garden paths to see the carved pumpkins on display\, e
ach on its own pedestal. Cash awards will be given for funniest\, scariest
\, and most original and will be grouped by ages\; 4-8\, 9-16\, and 17 and
up.

\nJoin OMNY Taiko for an interactive Taiko performance! Taiko (太鼓\, literally “big dru m”) is a type of Japanese percussion that has been played for well over 1\ ,000 years. Traditionally\, taiko were used in religious ceremonies\, fest ivals\, and as theatrical accompaniment. Kumi-daiko\, or ensemble drumming \, was created in the 1950s. In kumi-daiko\, many drummers play different- sized drums to create complex rhythms and stylized performances. This styl e of taiko drumming has become extremely popular and taiko groups have for med all across the world.

\n\nThe Cranford Carve-Out is back for its 8th year on Saturd ay\, 10/22 at Hanson Park. Stroll along the pumpkin-lighted garden paths f rom 5:30-9 PM to see the amazing carved pumpkins on display. Hosted by Jer sey Central Art Studios (JCAS) with support from the Cranford Jaycees and the Hanson Park Conservancy. Rain date 10/29.

2nd Annual Mischief Night Concert Program Coming to Rosel le Park This Halloween
\nBack by popular demand\, The Borough of Ros
elle Park will be hosting its second annual
\nMischief Night Concert
& Program on Sunday\, October 30\, 2022. The concert is free to attend
\nand will take place at Michael Mauri Gazebo Park (16 E. Grant Avenue)
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
\nThe concert’s headliner will be The Empire Ba
nd\, a six-piece band assembled in the downtown
\nclubs of lower Manh
attan. Deemed “New York’s Livest\,” The Empire Band has a song bank of
\nover 300 songs performed by highly-accomplished musicians\, meaning no
show is ever the
\nsame.
The event is open to all! Free kids
activities will also be available at both Michael Mauri Gazebo
\nPar
k and at the Youth Center (234 Chestnut Street). These activities are made

Teens are invited to hang out and create art with friends ! We’ll be drinking bubble tea and creating paintings inspired by the art of Yayoi Kusama. All participants will receive a complimentary bubble tea. This free program is being held at Fire me Up! Studios on Tuesday\, March 7 from 4-5 p.m. This program is best suited to children ages 12+. The pro gram is free but registration is required.
