\nRoselle Park span>’s annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks show are coming back to the Borough on Thursday\, July 1\, 2021. Gates at Herm Shaw Field (214 West Colfax Avenue) will open to the general public at 5:00 p.m. The celebration will include food vendors\, inflatables\, activities\, and liv e music by the Garden State Groove Band. The evening will conclude at dusk with a brief flag-raising ceremony that will kick off the best fireworks show in Union County. The event and all activities are free and open to th e general public of all ages.

\nRoselle Par ks invites all residents to enjoy the free 2021 Outdoor Movie Night Series taking place at Herm Shaw Field every Wednesday in July.

blood
\ndrive on Monday\, December 13\, 2021\, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
at the Casano Community Center\,

So far in 2021\, the Borough has collected a total of 157 pints of b
lood and saved 471 lives
\nthrough blood drives. For the American Red
Cross\, blood donations are incredibly important.
\nThe United State
s has been facing a severe blood shortage this year due to an increased
\nnumber of trauma cases\, organ transplants\, and elective surgeries.
The ongoing COVID-19
\npandemic has only made things more difficult.<

, April 29th\, the Borough of Roselle Park will be celebrating Arbor Day 2
022 with its
\nannual Arbor Day Ceremony beginning at 10:00 a.m. at S
herman Elementary School\, located at

nual tree-planting ceremony will be followed by the distribution
\nof
seedlings to attendees.
This year’s ceremony will be celebrating
the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day. Arbor Day’s roots
\nlie in Nebras
ka when in 1872\, a journalist by the name of Julius Sterling Morton moved
to
\nNebraska City and purchased 160 acres of land. There\, he plant
ed a wide variety of trees and
\nshrubs and would spread his knowledg
e of trees in his work as editor of the state’s newspaper.

sed a day where everyone could reflect the appreciation of all trees\, and
Arbor Day
\nwas born.
“The Borough’s Arbor Day Ceremony is a
fantastic event every year\,” said Mayor Joe

r we will be planting a Redbud tree and distributing 500 seedlings to
\neveryone who attends – it’s a great way to create environmental awarene

cz\, who will
\ninstruct the clinic.
Paul will lead riders th
rough bike handling skills such as starts\, stops\, scanning\, signaling\,

what to look for and can be a
\nstreet savvy cyclist when bike ridin
g in Roselle Park. Safe Kids Union County and Children’s

d Hospital will also be providing free helmets to those without one.

elle Park will be hosting its second annual
\nMischief Night Concert
& Program on Sunday\, October 30\, 2022. The concert is free to attend
\nand will take place at Michael Mauri Gazebo Park (16 E. Grant Avenue)
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
\nThe concert’s headliner will be The Empire Ba
nd\, a six-piece band assembled in the downtown
\nclubs of lower Manh
attan. Deemed “New York’s Livest\,” The Empire Band has a song bank of
\nover 300 songs performed by highly-accomplished musicians\, meaning no

The event is open to all! Free kids
