its next Drive-Thru Food Collection event on Saturday\, March 12th from 10
am to 1 pm in the church’s parking lot.

Place your bags of non-perishable food in your trunk\, drive up\, pop your trunk and the girl scouts will remove them\, no contact nee ded! Your food donations will be delivered to Cranford Family Care\, St. J oseph’s Social Services\, and other local organizations serving families i n need.
\nHere are examples of especially needed items:

r towels\, toilet paper\, tissues.
\n-Hardy fresh produce like bags o
f apples\, onions\, and potatoes.
\n-Cooking oil\, tuna\, canned chic
ken\, shelf-stable milk\, spices\, salt\, pepper\, tea and coffee\, sugar\
, flour\, crackers\, soup\, cereal\, canned vegetables\, rice (one or two
pounds)\, lentils\, beans\, cake mix\, and frosting\, dish detergent\, soa

Can’t make that date? There are bins placed outside the entrance to the church off of the parking lot where donations can be dropped any time\, 24/7.
\nI dea: Many of the younger girl scouts are setting out bins on their porches to make it convenient for neighbors to donate. Why not get your kids invo lved\, too? Set out your own bin and invite your neighbors to participate. Then drop off the donated items at the March 12th event.

\nFrom earliest times Ch ristians have gathered on the eve of the Paschal/Easter Season to recall t he story of God’s saving work\,from creation through to the death and resu rrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Paschal Vigil marks the end of the emptiness of Lent and Holy Week\, and leads into the celebration of Christ ’s resurrection. The Vigil Liturgy contains four main parts: The lighting of the Paschal Candle\; hearing the great Hebrew stories of the faith\; th e Liturgy of Initiation (Baptismed)\; and Holy Eucharist.
\n\n10 – 11 AM in the church and streamed online
\nEaster Sunday at Trinity is alwa ys a wonderful celebration\, don your Sunday best and come and proclaim ou r risen\, conquering Lord! Father Andy will offer a children’s address on the Christian origins of Easter egg hunts after which the children will hu nt the grounds for eggs. The choir anthem will be ‘Love’s Redeeming Work i s Done’ and we will all have the opportunity to sing the ‘Hallelujah Choru s’ at the conclusion of the liturgy.
\n\nThe next < span class='il'>drive-through food collection will be held this com ing Saturday\, July 9 in the parking lot of Cranford United Methodist Chur ch. Consider picking up a few extra groceries this week when you do your s hopping. Place the items in your trunk\, drive up\ , and volunteers will remove your groceries and bring them to Saint Joseph ’s social services in Elizabeth. Many families are still struggling to put food on the table. Let’s do this!

\nHere are some sugges tions for Christmas dinner donations: canned ham\, canned pineapple\, cand ied yams\, cranberry sauce\, rice\, applesauce\, juice\, raisins\, bottled gravy\, broth\, oil\, spices\, canned green beans\, corn\, cornbread mix\ , cake mix\, condensed milk\, canned pie filling and crusts\, Christmas co okies and pudding.
\nHardy fresh fruit and vegetables are also very much needed\, such as potatoes\, garlic\, onions\, sweet potatoes\, apples \, pears and oranges.
