3rd Annual NJ Miles With Moms 5K and Kids Fun Run, Saturday, May 3rd, Oak Ridge Park in Clark, NJ. The day will include a 3.1 mile loop around Oak Ridge Park, a 1 mile course geared towards kids and beginners, followed by a kids fun run with awards for all participants. 1 mile begins at 9:00am, 5K begins at 9:30am and the Fun Run begins at 10:30am.

Come and wear your Victorian hats, Victorian dress, is optional, and enjoy an afternoon
of fun, laughter and good company while enjoying a spot of Tea, Tea Sandwiches and Dessert.
Three Hat Boxes filled with items and a Victorian ornate gold frame wall mirror will be raffled
off as well as a 50/50 raffle.
RSVP by April 18, 2014 as seating is limited. Proceeds to benefit the restoration of the Hanson House living room furniture.

You are invited to Books & Bagels, a book chat program that takes place monthly on Saturday mornings (except in July and August) from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the library's Raddin Room. The format is simple. Just bring a few of your more recent favorite reads and tell the other members of the group what you like about them. The books can be new or old, fiction or non-fiction, classic or contemporary. There is no required reading, and you will have the opportunity to learn about books recommended by other group members. Plus, refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Cranford Public Library! Registration is NOT required. Attend as many or as few sessions as you like. Following several gunshots, Monte Beragon (Zachary Scott) collapses in the living room of a beach house. He whispers the name "Mildred," and dies. His wife, Mildred Pierce-Beragon (Joan Crawford), soon arrives at the police station and acts suspiciously nervous, though denies killing her husband. When the police reveal the man they believe to be the culprit- Mildred's first husband, Bert Pierce (Bruce Bennett), who was the owner of the murder weapon- Mildred proclaims his innocence with emotion.
