Times have been set for Fall preschool story hours. Registration for 2-year-old sessions will begin on Tuesday, September 7 in the Children's Department, in person by a parent. Sessions will be held on Wednesday and Thursday mornings starting September 15-16. Drop in sessions for 3-4-5- year olds will be held on Tuesday mornings or Wednesday afternoons starting September 14-15. Sessions end October 26 - 28. Children who would like to read to a welcoming, non-critical audience are invited to sign up to read to a therapy dog (and trainer). The program will be held on the second Tuesday evening of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Children's Room. Registration is ongoing in the Children's Department. Studies have shown that reading to dogs can increase reading skill and self-confidence.
