Neighbors-helping-Neighbors is a support group for people who are actively looking for work and/or want to invigorate their job search. This includes those in career transition, recent graduates, laid off workers, unemployed or underemployed professionals, persons re-entering the job market, small business owners struggling for business, and retirees looking for paid or volunteer work. Adult Summer Reading Program

Why should kids have all the fun? The library is pleased to announce that it will offer an adult summer reading program again this year. Adults eighteen and older are encouraged to participate. There will be weekly random drawings for prizes and, on August 6, a drawing for $75 gift certificates to two Cranford restaurants, courtesy of the Friends of the Cranford Public Library, and a $100 certificate. Whether you read a little or a lot, stop by the library and join the fun. Registration is not required; just need report the book titles you have read or listened to. Questions? Friends of the Library Used Book Sale

The Friendly Book Cellar, Cranford Public Library

Choose from more than 10,000 children's and adult books, CDs, DVDs, and recorded books. Prices range from $.25 to $2.00, except for vintage and autographed volumes, which are specially marked. Access to the sale is through the side door of the library, just off the main parking lot. The sale is wheelchair accessible. Proceeds benefit the library.

Books & Bagels

You are invited to Books & Bagels, a book chat program that takes place monthly on Saturday mornings (except in July and August) from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the library's Raddin Room. The format is simple. Just bring a few of your more recent favorite books and tell the other members of the group what you like about them. The books can be new or old, fiction or non-fiction, classic or contemporary. There is no required reading, and you will have the opportunity to learn about books recommended by other group members. Plus, refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Cranford Public Library! Registration is NOT required. Attend as many or as few sessions as you like.
