Neighbors-helping-Neighbors is a support group for people who are actively looking for work and/or want to invigorate their job search. This includes those in career transition, recent graduates, laid off workers, unemployed or underemployed professionals, persons re-entering the job market, small business owners struggling for business, and retirees looking for paid or volunteer work. Adult Winter Reading Program

The program is open to Cranford Public Library card holders and MURAL patrons 18 years and older. The program will run for 6 weeks from January 20th to March 3rd. There will be weekly random drawings for prizes and two grand prizes awarded at the end of the program: $75 gift certificates to the Cranford Movie Theatre and Il Gabbiano Restaurant. Registration is not necessary. Come in and get some books and beat the winter blues.
Books & Bagels

You are invited to Books & Bagels, a book chat program that takes place monthly on Saturday mornings (except in July and August) from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the library's Raddin Room. The format is simple. Just bring a few of your more recent favorite books and tell the other members of the group what you like about them. The books can be new or old, fiction or non-fiction, classic or contemporary. There is no required reading, and you will have the opportunity to learn about books recommended by other group members. Plus, refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Cranford Public Library! Registration is NOT required. Attend as many or as few sessions as you like. Carnaby St. is a band that takes its listeners on a musical tour of the 1960s. Featuring music from the British Invasion, along with some American artists, Carnaby St. breathes new life into the songs that are fondly remembered as the cornerstones for popular music's favorite era. Carnaby St. will play the music of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Moody Blues, the Who, the Dave Clark Five, the Bee Gees, the Hollies, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, the Monkees, the Byrds, and one-hit-wonders of the time. Carnaby St. has performed with the Moody Blues, Rod Stewart, the Kinks, the Temptations, the Grass Roots, Gary Puckett, and the Monkees. Carnaby St. is living proof that the music from the 1960s is timeless and continues to appeal to people of all ages. Admission is free and all are welcome.
