Anthony N. Palumbo has been an attorney admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey since 1970. He is also admitted to practice in the States of New York and Texas.
The main focus of his practice is trial work with emphasis on criminal law and personal injury.
Following the completion of law school at the University of Texas, Mr. Palumbo worked for the Internal Revenue Service as an estate and gift tax attorney. After leaving the Internal Revenue Service, he continued his practice in this field and still has a concentration in the area of estate administration and probate.
Following his employment at the Internal Revenue Service, he obtained employment as an assistant prosecutor in the Union County Prosecutor's Office. During his time at the prosecutor's office, he was assigned responsibility of a trial team and tried numerous criminal cases to completion. His responsibilities at the prosecutor's office included presentation of criminal cases to Union County grand jury and legal advisor to the Homicide Team. His present criminal practice involves the representation of defendants in the state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York.
He is a former municipal prosecutor in the Township of Cranford, New Jersey and former Zoning Board attorney in Cranford, New Jersey. He has both prosecuted and defended thousands of cases in the various municipal courts throughout the State of New Jersey from Cape May to Mahwah.
Mr. Palumbo presently resides in Westfield, New Jersey with his wife and children. He participates in numerous community activities and is presently a member of both the Westfield Rotary Club and Westfield Unico, a national Italian-American service organization. He is a former director of the YMCA of Eastern Union County, and is presently a member and a former director of the Westfield Outdoor Tennis Club.
He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association, as well as the American Trial Lawyers Association - New Jersey Chapter.
