The library has more than 100,000 titles, including books for children, teens and adults. Books are also available in Russian, Polish and Spanish. The library is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 am to 8 pm; Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 5 pm; Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, except during the summer. The library is closed on Saturday during the summer.

Q. How do I get a library card? A. If you live, own property or pay taxes in Cranford, attend school full time or work full time in Cranford, you may apply for a library card. Go to the main desk with proof of one of the above.

Q. Does the library provide Internet access? A. Yes. The library has ten public Internet computers in the reference area and two Internet computers in the children's room. Wi-fi access is also available. The library also provides two word processing computers for public use.

A. Yes. Faxes can be sent for $1.00 per page.

A. Yes. The library has two notaries. It is best to call ahead to ensure that one of them will be available at the time you have in mind.
Q. Does the library accept donations of books and other materials?
A. Yes, the library accepts book donations. However, the following will not be accepted: multi-volume sets, text books, manuals, Reader's Digest abridged books, and any books that are dirty, moldy, or in poor condition. The library also accepts DVDs and CDs, but does not accept videotapes. Donations can be brought to the main desk. Q. Is there a Friends of the Library group?A. Yes. Membership is $10 annually, $5 for senior citizens and students. Applications available at the main desk and at www.cranford.com/library/friends/applicationform.asp
Q. How is the library funded? A. The library is supported primarily by local tax dollars. Other funding sources include annual state aid, the Friends of the Cranford Public Library, overdue fines, annual per capita state aid, donations, fees (printing and faxing), and the library's ongoing used book sale.
