WESTFIELD AREA YMCA Hosts togetherhood fall Kickoff event @ Main Y Facility
Oct 24 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The Westfield Area YMCA is proud to participate in a nationwide initiative for Social Responsibility called “Togetherhood.” Togetherhood is a volunteer-led committee which brings interested Y members and non-members of all ages together to start, lead and participate in service projects that benefit the community and local organizations.  The Fall Kickoff meeting for Togetherhood is scheduled for 7:00PM on Tuesday, October 24 at the Main Y Facility located at 220 Clark Street, Westfield.
Togetherhood offers the opportunity to bring the ideas, skills and energy of volunteers together under the direction of a Westfield Area YMCA staff advisor to help the community.  At the kickoff, participants will help identify and plan projects, learn about becoming a project volunteer or offer a “partner group” that may have a project that could use Togetherhood volunteers.
Current projects include working with the Westfield Food Pantry and providing workshops for Cranford Senior Housing residents.
