The Home School Association of Saint Michael School in Cranford, NJ will be hosting a spring USATF CERTIFIED 5k and 1mile fun run to benefit both Saint Michael’s School and Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by- in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. For over 15 years, Operation Homefront has provided programs that offer: RELIEF (through Critical Financial Assistance and transitional housing programs). RESILIENCY (through permanent housing and caregiver support services) and RECURRING FAMILY SUPPORT programs and services throughout the year that help military families overcome the short-term bumps in the road so they don’t become long-term chronic problems. http://www.operationhomefront.net
Saint Michael’s School exists to promote the spiritual, academic and personal formation of the whole child. The challenge of the Saint Michael Student is to live these teachings beyond our doors into the local and world communities. One way to do this is through volunteering and helping others. Saint Michael School will be donating a portion of the funds generated by this race to Operation Homefront. We invite you to join us in this community event by supporting the race with your donation.
