AMERICAN PICKERS to Film in New Jersey
Aug 1 all-day

AMERICAN PICKERS to Film in New Jersey

The American Pickers are excited to return to New Jersey! They plan to film episodes of The History Channel hit
television series throughout your area in August 2022.

AMERICAN PICKERS is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking” on The
History Channel. The hit show follows skilled pickers in the business, as they hunt for America’s most valuable
antiques. They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories
behind them.

As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten
relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. They hope to give
historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the
way. The Pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something
they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them.
We at American Pickers continue to take the pandemic very seriously and will be following all guidelines and
protocols for safe filming outlined by the state and CDC. Nevertheless, we are excited to continue reaching the
many collectors in the area to discuss their years of picking and are eager to hear their memorable stories!
The American Pickers TV Show is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure. If you or
someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the
better part of the day looking through, send us your name, phone number, location, and description of the
collection with photos to:

Learn about TBEMC’s Hebrew school at our fall open house on Tuesday, August 16th from 5-7 pm.

Our religious school serves students from pre-K to B’nai mitzvah. The school aims to help students understand and appreciate the wisdom in their Jewish heritage, letting it shape the children’s hearts, minds, morals, and values. This year the program plans an increased emphasis on family programming and services.

We’re located at 338 Walnut Avenue right next to Walnut Avenue School. You can learn more at our website tbemc.org.

Community Cooldowns @ Near 180 W. Webster Avenue, Roselle Park, NJ

The Borough of Roselle Park and the Roselle Park Fire Department will be hosting four
community cooldown events during July and August. As firefighters perform their pump and
water hose drills, children of all ages will be allowed to run through the water showers to cool off
during the hot summer evenings.

“As we saw last year, community cooldowns are a great and easy way for children to have
some fun while staying cool in the heat,” said Mayor Joe Signorello. “I hope children from all
Roselle Park families join our firefighters for these cooldowns! Thank you to the Roselle Park
Fire Department for including residents in your training drills.”

Roselle Park Fire Chief Raymond Parenteau is excited for children to see just a part of what it’s
like to be a firefighter. “Not only is this a fun summer event for children, but it’s an excellent
opportunity for them to experience a behind-the-scenes look at what our firefighters do to train,”
he said. “I encourage all children to come out, meet our firefighters, and beat the heat during the
cooldown!”

Community Cooldowns will take place on Tuesday, July 19th & 26th, and Tuesday, August 16th
& 23rd from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. near 180 W. Webster Avenue. For more information, please call
