5K RUN • WALK • ROLL • VOLUNTEER • DONATE • SPONSOR | April 28
Greta’s Run is the principal fundraiser for Greta’s Run Foundation, a volunteer-led, granting-making 501(c)3 nonprofit.
Greta’s Run is organized in memory of Greta Schoenemann, a Westfield High School freshman who died from injuries sustained on the first anniversary of 9/11 when a tree fell on her during lunch. Her childhood friends, Jayne Ruotolo and Ben Nanna, founded Greta’s Run in 2013, to continue the work Greta was already doing. In honor of Greta’s sister Elise, who has cerebral palsy, all proceeds benefit people with special & adaptive needs.
“The Westfield Public Schools join with the community in upholding the values of kindness and compassion that have become Greta’s legacy. The students, athletes and staff look forward to helping make Greta’s Run a success.”

On the day after Thanksgiving, join fellow Cranford residents, family and friends on the Ray White Track at Memorial Field for Track Friday 2019.
Track Friday is held on the day after Thanksgiving, a day commonly known for mega sales and commercialism. Participants are encouraged to redirect some of their Black Friday dollar s to charitable causes, while also spending time with their community and burning off some Thanksgiving calories.
There is no registration fee to participate for Track Friday; all members of the community are invited. Instead, we encourage everyone to make a donation of any amount to a charity of their choice through our MightyCause team page.
Please support a charity listed on our Leaderboard, or add your own campaign by clicking “Join Team” below.
This year, the Jaycees have added The Valerie Fund to the Team Leaderboard. The Valerie Fund is a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) that has provided tremendous support to families in our community affected by pediatric cancer. Please consider a donation to The Valerie Fund or any of the charities on the Leaderboard.
See you at the Ray White Track on November 29th at 11 AM!
Come support the Cranford High School Hockey team on January 12th when the Devils take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7 pm.
A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to support the hockey program. After the game join us as we will be going down on the ice to take a photo around the Devils logo.
With any questions please contact Sam Burgasser at 973-757-6401 or [email protected]

On Friday, May 15th, join us in a one-mile virtual run/walk inspired by our Track Friday event. We encourage you to go “The Extra Mile” anywhere you’re comfortable (and permitted*), any time of the day, in honor of the high school seniors who are going the extra mile for our community.
Wear Cranford colors & sports uniforms and post pictures with the hashtag #CranfordExtraMile.
All families who register through this page (https://bit.ly/JayceesExtraMile) and make a donation (any amount within your means) to the Cranford Jaycees will be entered into a raffle for some exciting door prizes from River and Rail Cantina, one of our great longtime sponsors.
* We encourage participants to stay in their neighborhoods, only walk with family members, and follow the town’s social distancing guidelines. Participants who feel more comfortable staying on their property – or who are looking for a fun twist – can participate in “The Extra Mile Challenge” at home.
