For the 7th year in a row, First Presbyterian Church of Cranford, NJ is inviting all community members to participate in a Service Fair to assist with assembling packages and other various hands-on projects to benefit homeless youth, the elderly, veterans and more! The Service Fair will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 pm on Monday, January 20, in “Bates Hall” (the large gym) on the corner of Springfield Avenue and Miln Street. This is a great event for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, confirmation service hours, and anyone who wants to make the day count by brightening the lives of people in need.
This is a non-sectarian community event. Come and make the day count!
Cranford residents and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Brennan Sweet and his cellist wife, Christine, along with pianist and Grammy-winner Allison Franzetti, present a night of warm and uplifting music. A light dinner will be served at 7, and the concert begins at 8 at the First Presbyterian Church on February 14. Proceeds will benefit the Cranford Schools Friends of Performing Arts. The Westfield Area YMCA is hosting the annual President’s Day Holiday JUMP on February 17 at the Main Y Facility located at 220 Clark St. in Westfield. Open to the community, this event is perfect for families with children ages 8 and under. The Holiday JUMP features three huge inflatables and an arts and crafts station. Two sessions will be offered: 9:00am-10:30am, and 10:45am-12:15pm. Space is limited, and registration for each session closes when maximum capacity is reached. Proceeds benefit the Annual Support Campaign which ensures that no one experiencing a bona fide financial hardship that lives or works in Westfield, Cranford, Garwood or Mountainside is turned away for inability to pay. The majority of awards enable participation in the Y’s early learning, school age and summer day camp programs. Questions? Ashes To Go this year for Wednesday, February 26, 2020, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm – drive through under our portico at The Chelsea at Fanwood to get ashes imposed for Ash Wednesday.
The Borough of Roselle Park will hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Starting at 3:00 p.m., Joe Carosalli’s Masterpiece Orchestras will perform authentic Irish music; Authentic Irish food will be served during the event, which consists of corned beef & cabbage, boiled potatoes, carrots, Irish soda bread, and rye bread as well as dessert.

This Arts program is made possible in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant From the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Dowling’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, and Sunrise Diner.
