Temple Sha’arey Shalom Clothing Drive @ Temple Sha’arey Shalom

Temple Sha’arey Shalom, 78 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, will hold a clothing drive starting on March 8 and ending on March 12. The clothing will be going to a third world country to benefit their needy population. Contributions can include clothes, shoes, toys, linens and CDs/DVDs. Contributions can be dropped off at the temple: March 8 11:30am – 1:00pm; March 9 9:00am – 7:30pm; March 10 9:00am – 5:00pm, 5:30pm – 8:00pm; March 11 9:00am – 5:00pm; March 12 9:00am – 12:00 pm.

Songs in the Key of Love: Valentine’s Day with Top Classical Artists @ First Presbyterian Church

Cranford residents and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Brennan Sweet and his cellist wife, Christine, along with pianist and Grammy-winner Allison Franzetti, present a night of warm and uplifting music. A light dinner will be served at 7, and the concert begins at 8 at the First Presbyterian Church on February 14. Proceeds will benefit the Cranford Schools Friends of Performing Arts. WESTFIELD AREA YMCA OFFERS HOLIDAY JUMP ON PRESIDENT’S DAY @ Main Y Gym, | Westfield | New Jersey | United States

The Westfield Area YMCA is hosting the annual President’s Day Holiday JUMP on February 17 at the Main Y Facility located at 220 Clark St. in Westfield. Open to the community, this event is perfect for families with children ages 8 and under. The Holiday JUMP features three huge inflatables and an arts and crafts station. Two sessions will be offered: 9:00am-10:30am, and 10:45am-12:15pm. Space is limited, and registration for each session closes when maximum capacity is reached. Register in person at the Main Y Welcome Center, or online at www.westfieldynj.org.

Proceeds benefit the Annual Support Campaign which ensures that no one experiencing a bona fide financial hardship that lives or works in Westfield, Cranford, Garwood or Mountainside is turned away for inability to pay.  The majority of awards enable participation in the Y’s early learning, school age and summer day camp programs.  Questions?
