Temple Sha’arey Shalom, 78 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, will hold a clothing drive starting on March 8 and ending on March 12. The clothing will be going to a third world country to benefit their needy population. Contributions can include clothes, shoes, toys, linens and CDs/DVDs. Contributions can be dropped off at the temple: March 8 11:30am – 1:00pm; March 9 9:00am – 7:30pm; March 10 9:00am – 5:00pm, 5:30pm – 8:00pm; March 11 9:00am – 5:00pm; March 12 9:00am – 12:00 pm.

Cranford residents and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Brennan Sweet and his cellist wife, Christine, along with pianist and Grammy-winner Allison Franzetti, present a night of warm and uplifting music. A light dinner will be served at 7, and the concert begins at 8 at the First Presbyterian Church on February 14. Proceeds will benefit the Cranford Schools Friends of Performing Arts. Fire and Ice! Activities will include an Ice Carver at Eastman Plaza from 1-3 PM, as well as the return of the Hot Chocolate & S’mores Stations.

The Westfield Area YMCA is hosting the annual President’s Day Holiday JUMP on February 17 at the Main Y Facility located at 220 Clark St. in Westfield. Open to the community, this event is perfect for families with children ages 8 and under. The Holiday JUMP features three huge inflatables and an arts and crafts station. Two sessions will be offered: 9:00am-10:30am, and 10:45am-12:15pm. Space is limited, and registration for each session closes when maximum capacity is reached.
