Hanson Park Conservancy’s 9th Annual Rubber Ducky Derby is scheduled once again for Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 4 pm. On race day, over one-thousand individually numbered rubber ducks will be released in the Rahway River at Sperry Park, Cranford NJ and tumble over the falls racing to the finish line at the North Union Ave Bridge. Numerous prizes for the fastest lucky duckies will be awarded. The top prize is a $250.00 gift card.
Tickets can be purchased at two locations: Periwinkles, on North Union Avenue downtown Cranford, or the Cranford Canoe Club on Springfield Ave. Purchase a single Duck for $5.00 or a flock of 5 ducks for $20.00. Please secure your tickets early as ducks are limited and the race has been known to sell out.
All proceeds benefit Hanson Park maintenance and educational programs. If you have not yet walked through this lovely little park, please visit this hidden gem located at 38 Springfield Ave. Have you got your Ducky?

Dear Friends of Hanson Park Conservancy,
Please help HPC honor those we’ve lost to COVID-19 by contributing to a Memorial Bench.
COVID-19 has taken the lives of over 150 residents of Cranford. HPC would like to honor those lives by placing a Memorial Bench next to the Butterfly Garden –– a beautiful and serene place for remembrance and reflection.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to this memorial. Please contribute any dollar amount that you wish towards this memorial, which remembers our fellow residents. The bench is expected to be installed later this year and will include a plaque in tribute to those we’ve lost.
The unique Hanson Park benches are hand-made by a craftsman in upstate New York. They were chosen as part of the original design which envisioned a passive environmentally sensitive park along the Rahway River.
Tax-exempt contributions can be made by mailing a check directly to HPC PO Box 542, Cranford, NJ 07016, visiting our website at www.hansonparkconservancy.com, or through our Facebook page.
We’d like to thank the entire community of Cranford for always supporting HPC.
Feel free to visit the park at 38 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ. Details on the bench installation will be provided at a later date.
