Cranford Calendar
It’s that time of the year again!! Music fest 2019! This event is the type of thing that makes our little town so unique. Please add the date to your calendar and come enjoy an afternoon of great music, delicious food and of course tricky tray!! As always, all proceeds go right back into our community. The funds raised are used for revitalizing, beautifying and maintaining the Centennial Avenue business district.

The dates are FEBRUARY 4th AND 5th. The location is 28 Eastman Street, Cranford * Dine in or take out.

On Saturday, February 8th, The Freeholder Board will present the Chester Holmes award before the production of Raisin: A Musical at UCPAC’s Hamilton Stage in Rahway from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. This is a musical adaptation of the Lorraine Hansberry play “A Raisin in the Sun”. A delightful afternoon tea with assorted teas, scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts, prepared by the Cake Artist of Cranford. There will be a short musical performance and chances to win at the tricky tray and 50/50 Come alone or bring friends!
Scholar Tea is hosted by The College Women’s Club of Cranford, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1932, as a fundraiser for college scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors residing in Cranford. 100% of the proceeds will go to fund scholarships for Cranford Students.

A drive-up food distribution for Union County residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic will be held on Thursday, July 23, beginning at 9 a.m. at Kean University. Sponsored and coordinated by the County of Union and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, the food distribution will be first-come, first-served and no registration is required.
Kean University is located at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union. The distribution will take place in the parking lot located at the intersection of North and Morris avenues.
The Cranford United Methodist Church will hold a drive-thru food collection in their parking lot on Saturday, July 25 between 10 am and 2 pm. Cars will pull up and volunteers will remove the non-perishable food donations from the trunk.
Support Cranford wrestling with a day at Ash Brook Golf Course. You can also lend your support by sponsoring a hole.
The food distribution will begin at 9 am and is open to all Union County residents.
Food will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis and residents must arrive in cars. Walk-ups will not be accommodated.
Upon arrival, proof of New Jersey residency and indicate how many people reside in their household will have to be provided. Recipients will receive an emergency box of non-perishable items and fresh produce, with enough to sustain a family for several days. Please note that only one box of food will be provided per vehicle.
This event will run in compliance with state COVID-19 orders, regarding social distancing and other protocols. All drive-up recipients must remain in their cars with windows rolled up at all times, otherwise, masks are required. Food boxes will be placed in the trunk or truck bed of the vehicle by volunteers.
