Cranford Community Thanksgiving Service

An Interfaith Service of Gratitude

St. Michael’s Church

Monday, November 23 at 7:00p.m.

The Cranford Clergy Council will honor Kathy Willis for her years of service as Director of Cranford Family Care

Due to COVID restrictions, the sanctuary can only hold 150 people. If you would like to attend, you must contact the Parish Office, at 908-276-0360, and leave a message with your name and phone number, or email the same to [email protected] for contact tracing purposes. When you arrive at the service on the 23rd, you must wear a face covering the entire time. You will give your name to the person at the table in the vestibule to check-in. The ushers will assist in seating you, keeping attendees at a proper social distance from one another.

In honor of Kathy’s service, please consider bringing nonperishable food pantry items as a donation to Cranford Family Care.

There will also be a donation box in the vestibule. A collection is always taken at this service to go towards the High School Senior Scholarship for Service.

We hope you can join us in celebrating Kathy’s gift of service to Cranford, as well as joining our friends and neighbors in giving thanks for all we share as a community.

For any questions, please contact Cindy Hannen at [email protected]

We will live stream the service on the

St. Michael Facebook Page

Drive-Thru Food Collection @ Cranford United Methodist Church
We’re having another drive-thru food collection in the church’s parking lot. If you can spare some groceries, there are a lot of families in need out there. Put the food in your trunk, drive up, pop your trunk and volunteers will remove your grocery bags…no contact needed. Modeling generosity to our kids by helping other families in need is a win-win. If you’d like to volunteer, come join us at 10 am.
Responding to specific requests from Cranford Family Care and St. Joseph Social Services, we are asking for bags of non-perishable and also some fresh produce such as bags of apples, oranges, onions, and potatoes.

Join us for the next Drive-Thru Food Collection event from 10 am to 2 pm in the church’s parking lot, as the pandemic rages on and our neighbors are still struggling to keep food on the table.
Place your bags of non-perishable food in your trunk, drive up, pop your trunk and volunteers will remove them, no contact needed! Your food donations will be delivered to Cranford Family Care (https://www.facebook.com/CranfordFamilyCares), St. Joseph’s Social Services, and other local organizations serving families in need. Last month we delivered 8 vans loaded full to the brim!
Here are examples of especially needed items: Cooking oil, tuna, boxed milk, spices, salt, pepper, tea and coffee, sugar, flour, crackers, soup, cereal, canned vegetables, rice in 1-2 lb. packages (not large bags), cake mix and frosting, dish detergent, soap and paper goods.
There is also a special need for bags of fresh produce, for example, apples, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, ginger, garlic, celery, jicama, beets, and other hardy fresh produce.
Can’t make that date? There are bins placed outside the entrance to the church off of the parking lot where donations can be dropped at any time.
Mark your calendars for the next two food drives: April 10 and May 8. Same time, the same location.
