In the spirit of the National Memorial Day Program, the Cranford Memorial Day Committee will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28th, 2018. Organizations are encouraged to participate in this parade that honors those who have given their lives for our country. Your entry may recognize those who gave their supreme sacrifice for a war or wars, or it may depict a historical event related to one of our nation’s conflicts. Entries may take the form of floats, costumes, decorated vehicles, marchers, etc. Please keep in mind this is a
solemn occasion and no solicitations are to be permitted during the parade route and no sirens are allowed beginning with the turn onto Central Avenue up to the passing of the reviewing stand at Memorial Park.
The parade will assemble at 8:30 a.m. at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue. Marching will start at 9:00 a.m. You will be notified prior to May 28th as to where your organization will be placed in the line of march. The parade will finish with services at
approximately 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park on Springfield Avenue.
