Join Representative Malinowski for a presentation on what seniors need to know before filing their 2019 taxes. The workshop will feature various resources and programs seniors can use to prepare their taxes before the April deadline.
The Congressman’s constituent services representatives will also be in attendance to provide assistance to anyone struggling with IRS, Social Security, or Medicare issues.

WESTFIELD AREA YMCA AND BRAIN INJURY ALLIANCE OF NJ HOST A FREE VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON LECTURE ON BALANCE, FALL PREVENTION, AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
The Westfield Area YMCA is hosting a free program entitled “Heads Up Seniors” focused on fall prevention and pedestrian safety on Tuesday, March 29 at 12:30 pm. Presented by the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey, the program will be accessible via Zoom or in-person at the Main Y Facility located at 220 Clark Street in Westfield. Objectives of the workshop are:
- To provide strategies to best prevent falls
- To provide a safety checklist to anticipate and prevent potential hazards
- To educate pedestrians to walk and drive safely
- An interactive game is included.

Residents ages 60 and older are invited to “Brunch and Boost 2022” — an event geared toward encouraging seniors to get their COVID-19 booster shots.
Hosted by the Union County Department of Human Services and the Division on Aging, the event will take place on Friday, Sept. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Union Township Senior Center, located at 652 Rahway Avenue in Union Township.
