Marine Corps Vet to receive a Recycled Ride™ from GEICO and Benner’s Auto Body on April 27

Gerrek Marasigan, a Marine Corps veteran and naturalized citizen, recently returned to the United States from the Philippines. Gerrek considers his relocation back to New Jersey in October 2018 as a fresh start because there are more opportunities here than in the Philippines. He is currently enrolled in a labor workforce development course focusing on Supply Chain Management and is completing a certification course to become a Sterile Processing Technician. He has already passed two certification programs. Gerrek is preparing for a secure job future so he can petition to bring his partner and their three-year-old daughter to the U.S.

“We can all be together and have our lives uplifted,” said Marasigan. “I would not want to burden my family with financial and transportation needs.”

Operation Rebound in New Jersey nominated Marasigan.

What: GEICO donates vehicles to the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) Recycled Rides™ program to help individuals, families or organizations in need of a hand. Brenner’s Auto Body and its employees have volunteered their time and labor to refurbish the vehicle to a like-new condition, and Enterprise provides a donation to Recycled Ride recipients.
