Saturday at Nomahegan Park, come out for the 24th Annual Union County Red Ribbon Day Drug Prevention Walk and Family Fall Fun Festival.
Red Ribbon locally and nationally serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to increase awareness and support for substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery. Now more than ever, it is crucial for us as community members to stand together & fight to end the overdose epidemic, support recovery, and keep our children safe. This event raises funds for that effort and combines it with free games and entertainment, food trucks, and more.

Cranford’s third annual Souperhero Stroll returns to town on January 14 and 15, 2023.
A collaboration between Downtown Cranford and Cranford High School Class of 2023 Project Graduation, the Souperhero Stroll gives people a taste of a variety of soups from Cranford restaurants, while also raising funds for Project Graduation.
Over 15 restaurants will be participating in the event this year and the giant balloon sculptures of comic book and real-life superheroes are created by DreamFactory Balloons.
The Souperhero Stroll is one of many events that help support Project Graduation. They hosted a football mania sweepstakes and a holiday lights tour around town in late 2022. Coming up in April is the annual CHS Prom Fashion Show, which made its post-COVID return last year and an adult social. A food truck festival is also planned for later in the spring. Sponsorship opportunities for Project Graduation are also still available, McDonald said. There are different levels of sponsorship, which include the graduation program book as well as advertising at Project Graduation. Those interested should contact [email protected].
There are four chances during the Stroll to warm up with a taste of soup. There is a 12-2 and a 2-4 time slot for both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $10 per soup-taster and include a booklet with a ticket for each of the participating restaurants. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, click here.
Any family, business or organization interested in sponsoring a balloon sculpture should contact Downtown Cranford for more details.
