Weekend of March 11 & 12
It’s a full weekend of activities in Downtown Cranford. It starts on Saturday at Fire Me Up Studio with a Girl Scout party. Then on Sunday morning, the Sweet n’ Fancy Emporium is offering a treats class and it wraps up Sunday afternoon with the Cranford Theater showing Troop Beverly Hills followed by female business owners taking your questions.

Make a PEEPS® marshmallow masterpiece! Glue, mold, and manipulate those fluffy chicks, bunnies and other PEEPS® shapes to bring your vision to life. All members of the public are invited to participate in the competition. The deadline to register is March 24. The event guidelines can be seen below and on our website. The Spring Hop returns this year and will take place on April 1st from 1-3pm! To take part, just purchase a Spring Hop tote bag – supplies are limited. Children will be able to pick up eggs at 20+ downtown businesses and every participant will also win a Golden Egg! Registered participants can pick bags up starting at 12:30pm the day of the event at Eastman Clock Plaza.
Tote bags cost $10 and can be ordered through Eventbrite.
The event is rain or shine – no refunds.
Union County’s 2023 Paper Shredding Events will continue in June. There are two shredding events that will be held during the month. The first event will take place on Wednesday, June 7th at the Clark Public Works Yard, which is located behind the police station at 315 Westfield Avenue in Clark (please use Wilson Road for access to the event). The second event will take place on Saturday, June 10th. This event will take place at Union College, which is located at 1033 Springfield Avenue in Cranford. The event will be held in parking lots 5A and 5B. Both events will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, unless the shredding trucks fill to capacity first. These events are drive-up only.

Oktoberfest is about gathering, togetherness, and boisterous celebration. At a time full of sports, school, and scheduling conflicts, we find time to come together as a community to welcome in
the fall season.
This year, we are excited to hoist our tent, once again, at Union College on Saturday, October 7th, for the Cranford Jaycees’ Annual Oktoberfest Fundraiser!
Tickets include beer and wine in a souvenir mug, games, food vendors, and live music throughout the night. We’re excited to welcome back our headliner band Mushmouth, alongside NYC’s Street Beat Brass, bringing the authentic Oktoberfest sound.
All proceeds support the Cranford First Aid Squad and other local charities. Oktoberfest sells out yearly, so please purchase your tickets early.

Appropriate for all ages and just creepy enough to have you looking over your shoulder on the way home!
All tours depart from the front lawn of the Cranford Municipal Building (8 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ). This is a WALKING tour, so please arrive in appropriate attire for the hour-long tour. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Find your marked time and line up as you wait for your tour to begin. Tour guides will provide additional details upon arrival, as needed. Stroller children 5 and under are FREE. Pets are not permitted on the tour. No smoking or alcohol consumption is allowed on the tour. This is a walking tour about one mile in length.
