A night of shopping and dining in support of Project Graduation!
The Union County Rugby Football Club, located in New Jersey, has been in operation since 1974 and touts over 1,000 club members from kindergarten age to adult. We offer both touch and tackle rugby teams that play year-round. The Club will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in three short years, and we are beginning to fundraise and draw awareness to this monumental event. In addition to the 50th, we are also preparing to start a modified season, our first since we lost 2 full seasons to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Since we were not able to gather on the field last year, we have decided to host a virtual race encompassing all of the rugby clubs in NJ to foster some friendly competition and to get people excited for the possible restart of competitive play this Spring.
Challenge yourself to one (or multiple) of the virtual race options by logging your total accumulated mileage over a time frame of your choosing. (doesn’t have to be done all at once & you can walk, run, or bike!)
If you sign up for 2 races at the same time you will receive a 10% discount on your registration automatically.
The Home Field Loop: 13.1 miles covers the same distance you would if you were to travel between all of the pitches Union County Rugby plays home games on. This would take you from Rahway River Park in Rahway to Madison Avenue Park also in Rahway, to Unami Park in Cranford, to Warinaco Park in Roselle, and back to the start at Rahway River Park.
The River Run: 42 miles is the combined distance of the two mightiest waterways running through Union County, the Rahway River, and the Elizabeth River.
The Jersey Cup: 257 Miles is a daunting task, but covers the same distance you would if you hopped in your car to tour all of the home pitches of New Jersey’s NINE rugby clubs. This route goes south to north and would take you from Jersey Shore to South Jersey to Monmouth to Princeton to Union to Bayonne to Morris to Montclair to North Jersey. This event has its own special medal and shirt that are different from the Home Field Loop and The River Run.

Dear Friends of Hanson Park Conservancy,
Please help HPC honor those we’ve lost to COVID-19 by contributing to a Memorial Bench.
COVID-19 has taken the lives of over 150 residents of Cranford. HPC would like to honor those lives by placing a Memorial Bench next to the Butterfly Garden –– a beautiful and serene place for remembrance and reflection.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to this memorial. Please contribute any dollar amount that you wish towards this memorial, which remembers our fellow residents. The bench is expected to be installed later this year and will include a plaque in tribute to those we’ve lost.
The unique Hanson Park benches are hand-made by a craftsman in upstate New York. They were chosen as part of the original design which envisioned a passive environmentally sensitive park along the Rahway River.
Tax-exempt contributions can be made by mailing a check directly to HPC PO Box 542, Cranford, NJ 07016, visiting our website at www.hansonparkconservancy.com, or through our Facebook page.
We’d like to thank the entire community of Cranford for always supporting HPC.
Feel free to visit the park at 38 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ. Details on the bench installation will be provided at a later date.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, the Cranford Knights of Columbus will not be able to hold our Annual St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance this year. In lieu of being able to hold this Worthy Event, the Cranford Council will be holding a Corned Beef Dinner Sale on Saturday March 20th as a fundraiser to support the Will DeGregorio Memorial Scholarship established by the Cranford PAL. Will was a fine young man and a great athlete who we lost way too early to Cancer.
To support this worthy cause, we are accepting pre-orders only that must be received by March 16th. The cost is $15.00 per Dinner and there is a Family Plan of 4 Dinners for $50.00 that includes Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes & Rye Bread. Dinners can be picked up at St. Michael’s School Cafeteria from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on March 20th and we can also deliver Dinners to your home. We can accept payment by check, cash or through Venmo or Zelle and that account information will be provided when you place your order. Credit Cards cannot be accepted on any basis.
